Summary

There are four rows of men in uniform. The back two rows are standing, the next row is sitting, and the front row is sitting on the ground outside on a runway with an airplane and a building in the background. 'No. 64 Class No. 12 EFTS' appears near the bottom of the picture. The men in standing in the middle row are wearing lighter colour uniforms. The second man on the right sitting cross legged in the front row has a Trinidad Shoulder Flash on his jacket. During World War II, Goderich Airport hosted No. 12 Elementary Flying Training School for the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, providing initial pilot training for aircrews using the Fleet Finch.[3]No. 12 EFTS opened on October 14, 1940 and closed on July 14, 1944.
