No. 103 Sky Harbour Class, about 1943-1944

There are three rows of men in British Fleet Air Arm uniforms. The back and middle rows are standing and the front row is sitting on chairs on the ground outside on a runway covered with snow, the top of an airplane and barracks visible in the background. 'Flight No. 103' appears at the bottom of the pictures. The writing is in white and is difficult to make out on the snowy background. There are 5 black and white photographs with different resolutions (labelled a - e) and 2 negatives (labelled f & g). During World War II, Goderich Airport hosted No. 12 Elementary Flying Training School for the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, providing initial pilot training for aircrews using the Fleet Finch.No. 12 EFTS opened on October 14, 1940 and closed on July 14, 1944.
