The Roadbed of the Buffalo, Brantford and Goderich Railroad
Summary
This was once the Buffalo Brantford & Goderich Railroad. In 1864 it was aquired by the Grand Trunk Railway. In 1919 the Canadian Government took over ccontrol of GTR after it's western extension went bankrupt (GTW) taking the GTR with it. In 1923 Canadian National was formed by the government. The tracks were taken out in the late seventies or early eighties and used as a trail. Around 1998 or 1999 sections were paved over. as the years passed more and more was paved. The paved trail is very well used. This part is directly behind our house in Ridgeway, Ontario, Canada. March 11 2009.
